1). Who is the Aybee? Is it Aybee of Deepblak? What or Who is the difference between the two?
_ AYBEE is my name. DEEPBLAK is my Record Label.

2). Tell us more about your musical journey? What lead to you taking that route than anything else?
_ I am still on my musical journey… and I did not have a choice in the matter… I was called to this…

3). Clearly this was all spawned from a love of music. What does music mean to all you?
_ Music is a gift to this planet not of origin here…

4). How did you get into the whole music scene? Is it as glamorous as most people tend to think it is?
_ I don’t really consider myself a part of any scene and as for glamour; all that glitters is not gold…

5). Which genre of music do you specialize in and which is your personal favorite? How do you get music?
_ I make music of all speeds, rhythms, and tone. I get music from stores and friends.

6). How do you manage being a producer? Do you still find the time to relax? _ Producing and making music is relaxing for me. It is relaxation at its height.

7). What is the biggest event you’ve ever performed at? What would be your ultimate performance and where?
_ The biggest was performing with Ron Trent in LA at our BPS party in 2008. The ultimate would play on a THX system at the top of Devils Tower Wyoming in the US.

8). Give us a breakdown a day or night in the life of Aybee? What’s the preparation like, leading up to an event, and what happens afterwards, what food you eat?
_ There is no routine. I take whatever the day dishes, but I make conscious effort to keep my soul centered. After, if it’s really late or early; i like to grab breakfast.

9). Is the music industry your only source of income. Are there any other ventures that you are involved in?
_ Music is not my only source of income.

10). What about time with family and friends – How do you manage that?
_ Balance is the Key…

11). Given your insight into what’s fresh on the music scene, what do you think the trend for new year will be? Has the economic climate affected your pocket?
_ I do not follow trends and I have been very fortunate that the economy has not really affected my pocket.

13). Have you had any awkward moments with fans? Have you performed at an event that made you go ”WTF???”
_ No comment…

14). Did you always know you’d end up where you are today? Do you have any qualifications under your belt for any studies you may have completed?
_ I know that I know nothing… and I am a student of the universe.

15). You’ve achieved so much, what’s in store from Aybee? What aspirations do you have?
_ To continue to grow spiritually and sonically…

16). Are you interested in any collaborations with artists in South Africa?
_ Culoe De Song and Jonathan Butler.

17). Who do you regard (aside from yourself) as a producer or performer that’s making strides in the industry?
_ I am the wrong guy to ask I as I bow to no industry… but I salute any and all artist who strive to put Light into their ART, and uplift.

_ Man makes the music not the machine…the spirit creates the box records…
